March 9, 2015 Pre-K Registration Packets Available
Registration packets may be picked up at the Board of Education, each of our nine elementary school sites, or our three high school campus sites during regular office hours. It is not necessary to bring the student to registration. A child enrolling in Pre-K must be four years old on or before September 1, 2015.
March 9 – 13, 2015 Pre-K Registration Week
Registration packets must be returned at the Board of Education between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Late-night registration will be held on March 10 and 11 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. To be considered for the Pre-K lottery, all packets must be returned by 3:00 pm, Friday, March 13. Any incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list.
March 19 – 31, 2015 Pre-Kindergarten Lotteries
The Georgia Pre-K program is limited to a specific number of student slots. A lottery is held for these slots from the list of registered Pre-K students.
NEW PROCEDURE: All lottery drawings are open to the public. All lottery drawings for our Georgia Pre-K sites and the Statesboro High School program will be held at the Board of Education on 150 Williams Road, in Statesboro. Lottery times are listed below.
Statesboro High School Preschool Option
This program is in the process of being converted to a lottery-funded Georgia Pre-K. Eligible students must be four years old on or before September 1, 2015. If the program is not approved by to be a Georgia Pre-K site, parents will be required to pay a $6 per day fee, unless the student qualifies for free/reduced lunch. Parents also must provide transportation. See all other guidelines for program participation, registration, and lottery above.
Late-Night Registration Dates
Late-Night Registration for all schools is at the Board of Education (150 Williams Road) on March 10-11; 5:00 -7:00 p.m.
All lottery drawings will be held at Board of Education. Sallie Zetterower's drawing will be held on March 30 between 4:00 and 5:30 p. m.

Camp Invention Comes to GSU; Early Registration Now Open
Georgia Southern University (GSU) is a host site for Camp Invention this summer during the week of June 22-16. A national program backed by the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the U.S. Patent & Trademarks Office, GSU is one of several host sites across the country.
For rising first- through sixth-grade students, this program allows children to explore science, technology and their own innate creativity, inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit.
